Business for the Arts of Broward is a not-for-profit organization that educates the business community about the importance of Broward County’s art and cultural community and engages them in building connections between cultural vitality, creative success, and economic development.
Venetian Mascareri
Venetian Masks were traditionally worn to protect the identity of the wearer and were worn to disguise acts of debauchery in luxurious Venetian society. Masks were divided into two categories: Commedia dell’ Arte and Carnival. Made with a papier-mâché base, then heavily embellished with fabric, feathers, fur, and gemstones, participants will embellish their own mask creations. The one hour session is designed to encourage complete artistic freedom!

I’m a professional mixed-media artist specializing in whimsical images of people, creatures, objects and locations. My passion is creating and teaching art. I’m inspired by life’s simple moments and enjoy capturing them into my own artistic expression.
As a result of my art being displayed in NYC public schools, I was awarded the Alexander Medal for artistic excellence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
