Quilling paper is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are coiled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a toothpick, skewer, or dowel, to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and coil shaped, those shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various patterns of artwork.
Participants in this particular workshop will discover the beauty of Quilling by turning a 1/4″ strip of paper into a beautiful piece of artwork. They will coil, where the results are limited only by their imagination. An added dimension is Origami boxes, which can become a keepsake box, with personalized quilling on top.
Quilling can be displayed as favors, collectibles, centerpieces, or just a “JUST BECAUSE” gift.
*The artist will provide all materials.
